To begin with, I am happy to report that I was nowhere near today's gas explosion in Prague, and while there were many people injured, I am glad to see that there have been no deaths reported at this time.
While I have yet to see anything pop up on Facebook yet regarding this particular event, it reminded me of the fact that following recent tragedies around the world (The Boston Marathon bombing, the Sandy Hook shooting, etc.) I have seen some truly idiotic and disgusting posts from Facebook people claiming conspiracies out the wazoo.
While I never pay attention to these posts very much, I was starting to think that being a conspiracy theory nut job must be pretty fun. After all, it's like a game: create a brain-shatteringly insane theory about the world that embodies your fear about (insert fear here), then take any sort of world event and see how you can put the pieces together to make that event somehow match your theory.
So, I thought I would give it a try.
There are two types of conspiracy theory nuts, the first being the far more sinister "Fake-Sincere Skeptic." This giant sack of moldy used condoms pretends like they don't have a theory themselves (but they do, they ALWAYS do) and acts like a regular Joe who simply doesn't see things as adding up. They sound something like this:
"Look, I'm not saying anything, but this whole natural gas explosion in Prague today seems a little off to me. Does it seem like that to anyone else? I'm just saying that it's weird that just two weeks ago, there was a huge 'accidental' explosion in West, Texas, which is very proud of its Czech immigrant roots.
And then the Boston bombers were 'misidentified' on social media as being from the Czech Republic, but are actually from Chechnya. But then why did so many people get it 'wrong?' And now, there is another, 'accidental' explosion in Prague, Czech Republic today. I'm not saying that these things are all connected, but it seems like there is a little too much overlap for my taste. maybe today's natural gas explosion wasn't so 'natural' at all."
I don't know if being that type of nut bag is for me. I just can't pull off that kind of fake-sincerity. I think I might be more of the "Balls-out Incoherent Raving Lunatic" conspiracy theorist (also I like using bold, they LOVE using bold):
"Two weeks ago there were two bombings at the Boston Marathon, the VERY SAME MONTH when the Czech Republic stopped export of enriched uranium. And while the MAINSTREAM MEDIA and BIG GOVERNMENT want you to believe that the bombers were from Chechnya, regular freedom fighters like us made it known on Twitter that the bombers were actually from the CZECH REPUBLIC!
Yes! That's the very same Czech republic where there was a 'natural' gas explosion today. And not only that, the city of West, Texas, where there was another 'accidental' explosion two weeks ago, is full of immigrants from the CZECH REPUBLIC!
Don't you see what's happening here sheeple! This is just a vast conspiracy by the MAINSTREAM MEDIA, THE ILLUMINATI, MONSANTO, AND THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION to punish the Czech Republic for not allowing a radar base to be placed there a few years ago that would protect against missiles from Russia, which is the same Russia that is fighting a war against the place where the bombers where supposed to be from, CHECHNYA!
Wake up to the fact that the BILDERBERG GROUP is putting FLUORIDE in the water in order to cause everyone to have autism so that no one will mind they create a FAKE WAR AGAINST RUSSIA in order to strip us of our SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS and take our guns! Listen to me before it's too late!!!"
So, what do you think? Fake-Sincere Skeptic or Raving Lunatic?
